Custom Shift **** from Mad Dahn installed

I am very happy with this **** and how great it looks in my I30 (I'll post more pics soon). If any of you have considered getting a custom shift **** in your car, contact Mad Dahn because he really does a great job. After cutting my stock shifter a couple of inches to install this ****, it really looks and feels similar to the **** in my friends BMW M3. What do you guys think?

Very nice!!!
I cut my stock shifter as well and stuck on a chrome shifter. I like yours alot. I would be very interested in one. How do I get ahold of Mad Dahn?
Also, how does it go on since we cut off our threads? I would guess with 3 small screws like my chrome one is. Since our stock ones are kind of long, is this one the same length? I would think a short one would leave a space of exposed shift rod.

Its no bigger than the stock shift **** and I cut my shifter significantly so it sits about an inch or so lower than my stock shifter did.

Man I have to get one of these. I'll e-mail you at the end of the month when I get paid. This would look tight in redmax007's car with 007 and red lighting. Can you make any design? Please post pics of it installed so I know how high it sits.

I know its no longer then the stock shifter, and thats why i dont like it, i dont like the stock one becuase its so long...the stem part that screws on is so long ..when most aftermarket shift **** the part u hold onto is hollow so it can be screwed in they dont have an exstention peace like the stock shifter on a maxima and the one in the picture above....its hard to explane but i hope u kinda get what im trying to say

I think I hear what Maxspeed is saying. In an aftermarket **** I prefer the thread go all the way to the "top" of the ****. I prefer spherical ***** for the feel as well, and this is usually how it's done in a spherical **** (the hole for the thread will be all the way to the top of the ball). Thus, you're actually tugging from the top of the lever, rather than above the top of the lever.

It felt better in my Acura (plus the 'feel' advantages of a sphere as well). I'm indecisive when it comes to putting one in the maxima - I'd want a polished aluminum ball ****, like in my acura (see sig URL for pics), but I feel in this case it might take away from the "plush" interior, not to mention negatives from temperature.

Dhan - you ever considered making a spherical design with the thread all the way through, possibly with graphics flush on the sphere? Like this?:

Wow...thanks for making me get off my **** and find that URL...I didn't realize, but on page 5 of that site, the guy has a fair share of wood **** offerings with custom laser engraving available on all of them. I may have to see if I can get one to closely match my wood kit finish & get a maxima design engraved on there. Sweet.

Nice web site blizz, i like thoes much better, im not so czy about them being so rounded...i shift fast and hard , and for somreason im in the habot of holding the shift **** with my figer tipes, i hold it lightly too, i guess it gives me a better feel so i know when its in gear...thoes ***** on that page are nice and small...much better, if they wernt so rounded they would be perfict for me

Team Voodoo ( www.teamvoodoo.com ) also sells pistol-grip ***** in a few finishes I think. But I don't know if the thread runs all the way up the ***** in that case. You could email the guy and ask. Not trying to take any business away from Dhan of course (I think it's very cool what he does for the .org), just a suggestion.

With all the Miata ***** out there, every Max owner should be able to find exactly what they want in a shift **** without having to get a janky universal aftermarket one

I think that looks great, I would like one for my i30 too! Mad Dahn, could you do the Infiniti logo on the top, but instead of the Black plastic, do a burlwood insert (simulated) to match the simulated stuff in the i30? Let me know how much $$!
