Problem...RPM too high
My car idles fine but when its moving the rpms are averaging 1500 rpms higher than usual. The throttle cable looks very tight compared to the cruise control cable but im at school so i have no tools to try and loosen it up. All i know is when im doing 60mph my tach is almost hitting 4k and when i take off the OD button it goes over 4k easily so OD is working. Any help would be appreciated? Also im getting no error codes from my ecu.
Thanks

I have never heard of a problem like this in my 4 years and 120k miles on org.
I hope you can get it fixed. The gearing in the tranny determines the RPM, and this gear is a big metal part, and if it was really at 4000 in 4th, your car would be going lot faster than 60mph.
Do you think maybe your tachometer and its sub-componenets might be malfunctioning?
