Fuel problem, Please Help!!

Is it just me or is something wrong with my Max, It drinks fuel by the gallons.

Like i get about 15 Mpg if that much.

I don't know what's the problem, If it's an O2 sensor why haven't the check engine light came on.

I have absolutly no problems with the car and i just have a popcharger and some other minor stuff, Something has got to be wrong, Even when i do testing and i keep my RPM's below 2500, I still get about 230miles city and about 420 Highway.

Someone tell me what's wrong, I use only 93 octane gas from Mobil or BP.

Check the ECU for codes. Lots of people have been having Knock Sensor problems, which seems to result in very poor fuel economy. Although sometimes the KS does not trip the CEL.

Sounds normal to me. Your pop charger isn't the best for city driving, thats why your chewing up gas. Your highway mileage looks great at 420/tank.

I agree, but "miles per tank" is always something I'm iffy about.

That 15 MPG is pretty low, but njmaxseltd is right, your city MPG will suffer w/ the pop charger.

My highway milage is great, I made it from Ohio to NJ with-in like 20 miles from NY on a single tank and i was doing about 85 on cruise.

I checked the ECU and it shows 05-05 which is all clear um, The knock sensor i will just replace because it's about that time anyway and as for the pop-charger, What do i do, Get a CAI? or back to normal

Also, Where do i get a knock sensor and what's the cost of it??

Thanks alot, I love you guy's mannnnnn...... lol

Maxeffect,
I wouldn't change the KS just because "it's about time". Unless there is something wrong, don't worry about it. It's $100+ and a little bit of a pain to get to. 15 in the city with the intake is not abnormal. You could go back to stock......but why?
