I have Bose in my Max and I am pretty happy with it. I would like just a little more bass but I will get that eventually. The wierd thing about Bose is that each speaker has its own amp. This causes problems because there are more things that can go wrong and when something breaks it is more efficient to just buy a whole new better system instead of paying $$$ to get Bose working again. So yes you need to redo all the speakers if you want to replace it. The audio forum might be of more help when asking what to get and how to wire it.
