Rear Window Trim
Rear Window Trim
Hello, All in Maxima Land.
I have a '97 GXE with power windows. The rear window, on the passenger side, will roll down with no problem, but when I roll it up it gets stuck. I noticed that the trim that guides the glass is pinched in near the bottom and that's what is causing the glass to stick. I tried bending it back and widening it by hand, yet had no success. I can get the window back up, but I have to guide the glass while I hold the power botton.
My Nissan dealership told me that the trim can't be fixed it needs to be replaced and it will cost $275. They told me the part alone is over $100. I was also told that trim is not covered in my extended warranty. I said I'll just live with it for now.
Has anyone had this problem before and solved it without spending so much?
Thanks ahead of time for your replies.
