Got into a 3 car accident yesterday
I was coming home on the NJ TurnPike around 5:30, moderate amount of traffic, nearing my exit(16w). I was going about 50-60 mph, when all of a sudden see 2 cars ahead of me, a blue mid 90's ford explorer, come to a sudden stop. The car behind the explorer was traviling kind of close and smacked right into the rear of it. That car, (2nd car) was a late model chevy malibu. Since it all happened so fast, and I didn't see the guy hit his breaks at all, I couldn't stop in time so continued to rear end the malibu. My car was the last in the accident, luckly no one was hurt, and no one was behind me. The damnage isn't really too bad. Front end is smashed pretty good, radiator is pushed in too. Air bags did not deploy, since my bumper went under the bumper of the malibu cause all the damnage to be taken by my grill(which now lays on the side of the left lane on the turnpike right before exit 15w). I got to take some pics today, I'll post them up later, let me know what you would expect the repairs to cost, so I don't get ripped off. Also I'm guessing I'm at fault, since I rear ended the guy. The trooper wanted to give me a ticket, but then saw I was a volunteer Fire Figter/EMT, and decided not to out of respect. I'll post 1 pic, then link the rest

your hood looks like mine. only the center of the front bumper is smashed into the radiator, (hit a tree
) i dont think the damage cost should be that much, probably 2-3k assuming the engine block isnt cracked. i think my damage will run me like 7-9k so they might claim it as a total. i got into an accident yesterday as well. isnt it a b*tch

damn is that the malibu right next to the maX? the hoods are identically pushed up
ok he was going to ticket you, but what would he write you up for? i dont get the way the law works sometimes

if u hit someone from behind, they can give u a ticket for following too close.

I managed to get a pic of the malibu damnage (just the front). Not much damage where I rear ended him since my bumper went under his. Like I said before just alot of scratches and stuff, so I only got a pic of the front. Its strangly identical. Also I would have gotten a ticket for not keeping a safe distance. Is that in everystate or just NJ?
