Are iridium spark plugs better than the stock platinum plugs?

Hi, Guys

I have a 99 SE 5 speeds and will be changing my plugs soon.
Just wondering are those iridium spark plugs any good as
compare to the stock platinum plugs? Do they last as long
(60,000 miles)? Thank you in advance for your comments.

I believe there just as good, I think I read someplace that NGK recomends 30K intervals with them also. Not sure where I saw that, might have been on here someplace. I was tossing around the idea of putting them in my car. I'd like to see some feedback from a few users before I make the change.

Check out the new NGK Hybrid Iridiums. They have an Iridium center electrode and Platinum side electrode, the best of both worlds. I was
going to get some but I only had a few thousand on my NGK Laser Platinums (OEM Plug)and decided to put on Brembo Rotors and stainless steel brake lines instead. Denso recommends replacement of their Iridium Plugs at 30k miles. Also they only have an Iridium center electrode and an alloy side electrode. I would really be interested in how the NGK Hybrids perform if you go that route.
