anyone ever paint your keyholes??

I was just looking at my car and noticed this little silver dot in the middle of my car. The car is clean black from bumper to bumper, then I got this little silver dot standing out. I never noticed it before, but now the keyhoel on the front doors stand out to me. I'm thinking maybe paint it. Anyone ever notice the same annoying little dot?

Yeah, I have - boing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was thinking about removing them, sanding them, and painting them or checking at Home Depot and seeing if they had any cover/caps that might cover the hole. I also have this problem on the trunk lid. My a$$ is shaved so the only thing that stands out is the silver/chrome key cylinder.

you can try, but the paint will chip off if you hit it with water when washing the car. I tried and gave up toughing them up after every wash.

I did this on my white maxima (sorry no pictures.) I had a couple things I wanted to touch up, so I went to Nissan and got the touch up paint, bottom AND top coat. My girlfriend suggested she do it since the paint uses a nail polish like brush. I did my trunk keyhole and it looks a lot better, doesn't stand out so much at all. I also have not had a problem with it coming off. I think this is due to the topcoat which supposedly dries to an extremely hard finish. Use multiple (i used so many i lost count) coats of bottom coat then finish off with a few coats of top coat.

Cumalot also painted over his rear keyhole. It looks pretty good, unless your lookin for it you can't see it.

try using some type of primer before painting to solve the problem related to the paint chipping off when u clean the car maybe?
