It could be done, it will just take time, 1st off you might want to start off by doing a search and reading about turbos... When you become more familiar with it, and know what parts you need, then you can get to work, start piecing your kit together, finding parts used would also help. You also need to find a shop around your area, that makes piping..if there familiar with turbo kits, that's even better, just keep calling around, until you find a shop you like, that's willing to WORK with you. some places will really cut you a deal because they want to seen it done, because they have never seen a turbo maxima....some places just want to make money and will charge u top prices...so good luck

Look around town, find out some connections....a good place to find connections are like car shows or what not...around here, i found a guy who custom makes turbo systems,i'm kinda good friends with his son, who has a turbo charged sunfire...i do know that he's for real because he has some cars of his he's worked on run 12's..he said in order for me to actually do a turbo, i would need to buy a turbo, intercooler and some other essential materials...he'd do the piping and evreything...you can find a turbo on ebay, i've seen quite a few on there..but be sure its legit...the main thing is to find out who would do it for you in your area and price...you can either custom make it, or spend $4k for the PFI turbo, all in all, custom making one will still cost you money, but not as much as $4k i would think, BUT MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR GETTING YOURSELF INTO.

there is one thing u gotta do, and honestly most wont do it becuz they dont take it as seriously. The best thing i ever did when i got into car tuning was research. I researched every part for at least a month before i bought it, understand how it works, which is the best to buy and what not. You are doing yourself a huge favor by truly learning everything your doing to your car. when u want to do something as extreme as a turbo, at least understand how a turbo works, then you'll see that its not just a buy and bolt on product. If you dont wanna go this route i undestand, i take car stuff very seriously and am very happy with the progress of my max, i mean im in college right now for mechanical engineering and will be working with a car tuning company this fall, so to me its more then a hobby. so i understand if its not as important to you, but just dont think u buy a turbo make ur car fast and ur done.
