red clear- do it myself?

hey. i have a 95 max se. i want to clear out the orange on the rear blinkers. i have read a little bit on how to do it yourself with boiling water, or a heat gun and some flourescent paper. i dont really understand how it works and im not really sure how good it looks. if you do it yourself, will it look the same as the factory backup lights, or would i have to replace those anyway? or should i not even bother, and just fork over the $$$ for new ones and less hassle?

You can't do it on a 95/96. The plastic is one piece, it cannot be separated like the 97-99 when heated. Sorry, the only way to do it is buy clears and paint the bottom red!

Your redded out lights look great. I have a white 96 max and am interested on how you did them. I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
