brake pads ... ?
When they are worn out. There are two ways you may judge whether that time has come.
1) Visual inspection. When the thickness of the friction lining is less than the thickness of the metal carrier, it is time to replace the pads. Nissan recommends visual inspection of brake pads every 15K miles under normal driving conditions.
2) Audible warning. The pads have a built-in wear indicator tab. When the friction lining is worn close to the safe limit, the tab will contact the rotor and produce a characteristic shrill squeal.

... brake fluid?
Nissan does not include replacing brake fluid in any regularly scheduled maintenance. Some owners like to make this part of their 60K mile service, but it is not required.

Intervals for changing your brakes will depend on your driving style. My 95 has 97K and has original brakes (I know b/c I bought car new). Every 10K miles or so I check them and say to myself ahhh 10K miles left and they just don't wear down. However, I have a 5 spd and do mostly hwy driving.
