AGX question.

I was contemplating on upgrading to AGX shocks but I was wondering what everyones impressions were on the ride quality? Is it at all comparable to the stock shocks at the softest setting? I still want some comfort but also have the ability to adjust for more amped driving. I will also be purchasing the progress springs. Any impressions compared to stock would be helpful. Thanx

I actually have agx/progress combo right now. Prior to that, I was on stock SE suspension which I think is supposed to be a bit stiffer than GLX/GLEs'. To compare, I find the softest front agx setting at 1 (out of 4 which is stiffest) is pretty soft though just a tad stiffer than stock SE suspension. Bear in mind, agx's affect both the bound AND re-bound so my comment is really on the combination of effect of agx and progress springs TOGETHER.

That said, I love the agx/progress combo. The freeways here in Toronto (Canada) are pretty smooth & not full of potholes so I leave my agx settings at 2 in front & 4 in rear. I do feel the cracks in the road for sure. btw, I'm also on 215/55/16 which cushions shocks a bit more than if I were riding on 17" rims. Driving on the freeway is very stable without rolling as is in going around high-speed sweeping bends.

I have AGXs/Eibach combos on right now with 17' rims. AGXs are stiffer than stock, but when set at 1, the ride is stiffer than stock. If you have H&R's with AGXs, then the ride will be softer then with Eibachs, but still a little stiffer than the stock setup. I think AGXs are awesome. They are pretty easy to adjust. Go get them!

With AGXs, if you have anything loose in your car.. i.e. change, stuff in the glovebox, it will rattle like no tomorrow when youre going over bumps, and its pretty painful to hear/feel.

But if you take all the loose change and other stuff out, its pretty quiet, comparable to a BMW ride quality (maybe a little stiffer).
