Gas Tank Pressure Issue

Gas Tank Pressure Issue
Hi everyone,
I have a '95 SE, and I have a bizarre problem with my gas tank... Pressure tends to build up between fuelings. I can't tell if it's positive pressure or a vacuum, but there's often a serious rush of air/fumes when I open my gas cap. Performance doesn't seem to be adversely affected. It seems to happen especially on longer drives -- I'm guessing that while my car rests between my short commutes the tank has time to slowly equalize, but on longer trips the effect is more cumulative. Anyway, the problem is causing a code 77 and I'm getting a little tired of resetting the check engine light every time I have pressure buildup.
Is there some sort of vent hose that could be plugged or kinked? I remember on my old '72 240Z there was a hose that vented the main tank to a special pressure tank -- a much older car, but there are a lot of other similarities between the cars, even 30 years later.
Anyway, if anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate hearing them... I'm at my wits' end.
Thanks!
John

It could dry up any excessive mooisture he might have in his tank.......If there is a fair amount of moisture, when the water evaporates it turns into a vapor.....that excess vapor could build up more pressure than normal.
It was just a suggestion

By the way, that code 0707 is for the rear O2 sensor, behind the CAT. If your car is in a good state of tune, that code sometimes goes on when you put on an aftermarket CAT, like the RT Cat, or, I guess if you're OEM CAT is going bad.
Also, the whooshing sound varies. On looong road trips, where you fill up the tank and then refill when bone dry, that whoosh sound is strong. Topping off half a tank you'll barely hear it.
