some mods i wanted to try

hey all, i just registered on here, but i wanted to say how great this site is, there is a lot of information and a lot of knowledgable people here..

i have a question..

i just bought a 1999 Maxima SE this week, i wanted to do a few little things to it, nothing serious, .. i was thinking of putting in a Front Strut Bar, Rear Strut Bar, and a Rear Sway Bar.. do you think just adding those 3 things would be ok, and make the car handle better??

thank you for your replies in advance..

It all starts as "nothing serious". They you go crazy and spend mucho dollars on your max.

Anyway, front strut tower bar and rear sway bar is a very nice start.
The rear strut tower bar has very little if any noticeable effect.
I hear the Warpspeed subframe connectors are a nice addition too.

Front strut bar is one of the best things you can do with a stock suspension. Turns feel more tighter and more in control and it just feels like it can handle so much better. RSB is also a good start but I dont have one myself yet.

Not so expensive like $100 and below or $200 and below? Jim Wolf Technology has pop charger for about $110. Ebay has K&N cone filter with MAF adaptor for $70, Stillen Intake on ebay for $140. Or go to you local auto store and get a K&N cone filter and make your own adaptor.....

Or you can spend $15 to make your own upper pipe.

Check the for sale forum. There is a "frankencar" intake, which is argueably the best for your money, for sale there for $89, shipped. also, there is a CAI (cold air intake) for sale for under $150.

Either would be a good choice.

As far as TSTB, get a cheap one off of eBay, unless you are really going for looks.

For the RSB, addco and stillen are the only way to go, with addco being cheaper. Stillen might be slightly better, but for the difference in price, you can get the intake AND FSTB and be all set for just over $200.
