300zx fuel filter question

300zx fuel filter question

i just recieved a 300zx fuel filter that i ordered. just cause i wasn't sure i called two different nissan dealers and gave them the part # for the filter i recieved. which is 16400-N7605JP.

one dealer told me it was for a 90'-96' filter, while the other dealer told me it was for a 86'-89' filter. i'm confused, and was wondering if someone could give me a straight answer.

i hope so, but i wanna make sure first. the filter is still in the packaging and if there is a problem it's going back.

Sometimes you have to outsmart the search function.

It appears there has been a part number "supercede" as Nissan likes to call it. So now:

300Z Fuel Filter:

16400-N7600 is now 16400-N7605

and

16400-N7600JP is now 16400-N7600JP

The JP isn't necessary in giving the part number.

I confirmed this through Courtesy's Website Part Search function.

The filter on the 90-96 Z is slightly larger than that on the Maxima. It will work but it won't fit in the holder that the max has.
