Can somone tell me the purpose of this mid-pipe??

and where do you put the air temp sensor??

 

The mid pipe removes the resonator and is supposed to give you better response in lower RPM's(from the drop a pop charger gives)and it does give better sound., as far as the intake temp sensor no one will give me a straight answer as to where to put it.

 

i have this it works!

 

i ghetto-rigged my intake temp sensor. unplug it and place the actual sensor right next to teh filter. anywhere will do as long as its pretty close. mine is right below the cone portion of the filter itself. take some zip ties and tie the temp sensor tight, right there. boom.

oh yeah. i ghetto rigged a midpipe too. it works. bigtime.

 

ok. sofar everyone said its a pretty good idea for a mid pipe. I saw the one in the group deal for like $50 is that a good price, or where did you guys get yours?

Probably sounds like FrankenCar.. but the thing is that they're backed up on orders.

 

I believe Frankencar makes one (good luck getting one!). Or you can DIY for $15. I don't have the right tools to make one, so I'll be jumping on the GD soon.

I built mine for about $22 because i had to get the pretty little breather filter.

 

Place racing CAI's for the 97-99 max's have a hole for the air intake sensor..if yours does not ..make one for it
