I want the loudest exhaust combo possible im talkin y-pipe b-pipe and muffler. I was wonderin if anyone knew a good combo. also, can the max fit a bomb muffler like the ones arospeed makes????

Take the muffler out (illegal, illegal) and put a straight gigantic pipe. That should give you the punch found in no other car

 

Loud exhausts? Ugh, just go for style man. I don't think anyone here associates performance with loudness of an exhaust.

 

The loudest exhaust note comes from having no exhaust. It's very illegal, though.

I will probably get flamed...but has the 4th gen maxima turned into a new rice boy car??? like it seems as if there are pure riceboys here now.

 

Loudest exhaust I've ever seen on a Max was the racecar style one, with full roll cage & a side pipe. You had to cover your ears when it went by. Like everyone said though, it'd be illegal.

why in the world would you want the loudest exhaust possible. hey guys is this stupid or what?? first off, it will sound so stupid, second you will give other maxima's a "rice" reputation, and third you will cops all over you. they hear your exhaust and they will follow you waiting for you to f*ck up. trust me i had a buddy with a camaro that was loud as hell, he always had cops pulling him over for no reason and following him, so as you can see this is stupid. hope you have learned something here.

i think you should go with stillen y-pipe, random tech cat, greddy exhaust and an hks muffler. this will be very loud and it is legal. well except for the y-pipe but who cares about that, they are great

 

First of all when i get the time im gonna build myself a straight pipe maxima exhaust. And secondly im not stupid. Power gains will be higher the car will be faster, and will scream like a banshee. Sure its illegal, but so is a y-pipe. Just make sure you have a good muffler, and y-pipe, and just place pipe in between. I know that if anyone were to do staright pipe or side pipe certain adjustments would have to be done to the underbody of the car, but just think of the heads you will turn as you rip your beast anywhere you deem fit.

 

i don't know about the laws there in conneticut, but in pennsylvania, nj, and a few more states that i know about, loud exhausts could and probably will get you ticketed. you must be stupid to want to do this. or, you know a cop who can have all the tickets taken care of

how loud do you want to go? if you want close to a "no muffler riceboy sound" get a knockoff N1 style or that arospeed (rice) muffler and attach that to the ypipe, straight pipe, bpipe combo. it is SO loud your ears will hurt. it will make other people's car doors vibrate as you pass by. but from a distance the car sounds awesome, like a race car. from an idle, it's intimidating like a V8. it's just too loud! if you want aggressive exterior sounds but much more comfortable interior sounds, get my setup! plus you won't get any funny looks from people lol.

 

Not really, I did run my best time with it though. My mph was way down but I attribute my good run to having the clutch on its last legs (no wheel spin) and a very hard launch.

O2 sensors I tied out of the way.

just weld a maxwell house can on the back of the exhaust. it'll sound really good then.
