Anyone ever have trouble disconnecting wiring harnesses?

On my '99 I have ALWAYS had trouble disconnecting the various harnesses. When I installed my VI with Keven97SE he was able to disconnect his, but both he and myself were unable to disconnect mine.
I believe the "snap" part of the harness was changed between some year, and mine happen to be the kind that fit REALLY snugly. I was able to disconnect the MAF once before, but never again. I was also unable to disconnect the connectors from my coil packs when I was changing my spark plugs.
Any ideas?
(I think they changed connectors in 98 or 99)

I use a tiny flat blade screwdriver to push in the little tabs on various connectors.

dude those harness the ones with the green tab on are the easies ones to dissconnect. all you have to do is oush down on the tab with the arrow on it and push it in the direction the srrow is going. there is a little technique to it but all you have to do is get it to click into place and it will come right out. these green tab harnesses are not push the tab and pull harness its push the tab in then slide the green tab towards the direction of the arrow get it to click and it will pop right out. no sweat and no blisters, no all of the sudden release and cut you hand on something else in the motor bay

hopes this helps in the future.

Damn connectors

I had the same problem when I did my spakies last weekend. I just push the green tabs in with one hand, using my thumb, and then I grab underneath the harness with my pointer finger so that I’m not pushing or pulling it in either direction. While I have it like this I take a flat blade driver and use that to push the harness away from the fixed connector. I hope this helps.
