cold air intake question
cold air intake question
I just installed Place Racing cold air intake and it untapped some power of my max. The sound is hella cool . But it says not to drive it in wet conditions. Where i live its going to be rainy season soon and is there a chance water can get sucked in and go inside the engine on a rainy day. And how do you guys get around on rainy days?

If it really bothers you, simply turn it into a HAI.

i had a place racing on my last max, i never really had problems, but it was only on for like 2 months, i have my new one in the mail, and i live near chicago so it rains a lot out here. should i be worried about driving in the rain?? the max is my daily driver i cant avoid rain. and isnt there some sort of water by-pass valve or something you can get to prevent that??

There is one, and I think APEX makes it. Correct me if I am wrong.

That's right, it's AEM. They did a test, I believe it was one of AEM's CAI 4 Civic. Intake was place in a tank of water 6 inches under water. With that bypass, not a single drop got into an engine.
