can PIAA xtreme white 1157 come anywhere close to matchin with HIDs?
before i got my HIDs my rewired corners with cheap hyperwhites were just as bright as my headlights, but now with the 4600 OSRAM HIDs, the clearance bulb looks like crap next to it. Do u guys think the PIAA xtreme white would be a better shot at it? anything better than those? wut bout the fogs?

I don't know if you'll like this, but I did it to mine. Instead of changing my clearance lights to white (I have a set of PIAA 1157 bulbs too), I changed it to orange. I thought it looked a lot better with white headlights over the PIAA whitish blues.
I don't have the real HID kit, but I used to have white xenon bulbs and that's what I did. If you scroll down the 4th gen forum a bit you'll see a post with pics I put up on how it looks

I agree with this. I have HID's and NOTHING will come close to matching them. Contrast them with orange and it looks great. Most cars equipped from the factory with HID's have orange corner markers. My 330 has them as well, thats where I got the idea from!

two other notes you may be interested in:
1. with the orange sidemarkers, i did the rewire mod (to make them appear brighter), but found that the orange wasn't as deep as when the bulbs were at the lower wattage. now my sidemarkers use the lower wattage.
2. if you're detailed oriented like me, you can paint your orange sidemarker bulbs with a thin coat of hi temp silver paint. this won't hurt the color output from the orange side marker bulb, and will keep your sidemarkers nice and clear during the day (if you look closely you might be able to see the orange bulb through the side marker---i could definitly see the blue bulb when i had my old polarg hyperwhites in there).
