sheet-tay man. For like a week after it happened, I had dreams of catching the ***-stain that broke into my car and pulling his finger nails off, then breaking each finger one at a time... I swear I was so mad, I almost p|ssed my pants. Of course this was like 9 months ago and the only remnants are the pics in my sig. Sorry about the car man, good luck w/ the insurance company.

Further remarks about revenge will be deleted.

Paul ... sorry to hear that. Did you have an aftermarket alarm this time or no?

And is it possible that somebody is out to get you ... or do you just have really really really bad luck?

I think his location has more to do with it than just his car being attractive...

Paul,

Where in NJ are you? How far are you from Newark man?!?

that ****ing sucks...

Pulling fuel pump fuses or disconnecting batteries might be an idea for those that live or park in shady areas..

I hope you get through it with the help of insurance..
that sucks to hear though
****ing hate thieves

get a kill switch to your fuel line so the car won't turn over when they try to start it. If they want it, they can tow it. And if they goto that trouble, then let em have it and save your money to get the new Z. And if you do get one, hide it somewehre other then under your dash or in the glove box as those are the most common places to put em.. Get creative with your hiding location.

Kill Switches and all those tricks!!

My sure method is pull the inhibit relay, and put in my pocket like loose change......the car is going nowhere without a tow.

i was just going to say that

i've heard or read about numerous people getting their cars stolen and for some reason a lot of the time they end up being found in Newark.
Insurance rates must be rediculous in that city.

Paul,
wire up a kill switch.. there is so many different ways you can do it... i remember they brought in a Pathfinder to my old job.. to start it, you had to move the mirror adjustment **** to the left, press the brake and have your seatbelt on or something like that guy said that he asked the dealership to do it for him.. car had like 50 miles on it, with plastic still on some things..
very slick
they'd never figure that out..
unless there are ways to get around it.. i wouldn't know though since i don't steal cars.

i'd do a combination of things.. kill switch, pull the fuel pump fuse, get one of those brake pedal locks and something else..

there must be a way to get around all of those things but the idea is, that is too many things to handle.. they'll just leave it and avoid the hassle.. find something easier to steal instead.

gts headlight covers i found at a local aftermarket parts store for about $40. I haven't been able to find them online.

And you're all right there are many ways to keep a car from being stolen, but there's also a **** load of ways to steal a car. IT all depends on what the thief plans to do with it. If he's selling it for parts, the quickest and easiest way is to break the ignition cylinder and shove a screwdriver in the lock. IF he plans on selling it whole, then he's gotta be more careful, in which case, all that **** would have worked. The only way to keep a car from being stolen is to buy a beatermobile.

I disagree with the whole Beatermoble concept. I car is meant to be driven. I can't see spending money on a car to make it look good, perform good and sound good, just to have it sitting around. I put a nice sound system in my car because I want to hear good sounds wherever I go, not just at select times. I want my car to perform good whenever I overtake another vehicle or take a sharp curve, not just at select times. The only way I can see myself having a beatermobile is if I'm leasing a car and want to keep the mileage down. Besides having a beater is no guarantee that your Max won't get jacked.
