Problem with low end

Here's the story, i think i have a low end power problem in my car. I have a STOCK 96 maxima se AUTO. I know i have a problem, since i raced my friends 3.4 camaro and only took him at like 80. What the heck is wrong with my car? It has 80K on it, and is in great condition. What could cause such a lack of power? I dont hear any weird noises or anthing.
