How will these fit on my 96 GLE pedals?

How will these work on my 96 GLE?

Link to pedals that I want

I like the look of those pedals, and the fact that they have a matching dead pedal included.

How will they attatch to the pedal arms on my 96? Will they just screw on over the rubber, or will I be able to remove the rubber and put the metal of the pedals directly on the arms? Any info is appreciated...

Those are very similiar to what I have. I'm pretty sure they just have clips in the back, and you slip them over your existing pedals and tighten the clips. Not very good quality IMO, cuz usually the clips get loosened after a while and the pedal cover starts wobbling..

I'd get the AE pedals if I had to do it all over again..

Exactly what he said. You will most likely have to remove the rubber on the brake pedal but not that one the accelerator. Not a big deal but IMO pedals aren't worth it unless they are a specific-fit because like he said they will only get loose with time. And Nokya pedals are only okay quality, you get what you pay for I guess. They will scratch easily.

So maybe I should think about going with AE pedals and make a diamond-plate deadpedal?

Yeah get them from Tustin Nissan or some other place, and let us know how the gas pedal fits into place I know the brake and clutch (if you have a clutch) just slip over the existing pedals, and I don't think they have clips, theyre just specifically made for the Nissan pedals.

I'm kind of surprised Nissan uses the AE pedals everywhere, even in the new Z

I've got Razo Magnesium pedals( medium, auto). The brake is perfectly snug and the gas uses double side tape in addition to a bracket.

I've also got a set of A/T AE pedals. They look cool, but I wanted a grippier set.

So are these Link to pic of Z pedals pedals the same as the AE pedals? (Those on the link are the 350Z pedals, according to SCC magazine)

If so, wouldn't you think that I could order the deadpedal as well?

I would live to have it all match, but if I have to, I will get AE gas/brake pedals and make my own deadpedal from $1 worth of diamond plate...

When you say that you have a set, do you mean a set off of the car sitting around doing nothing? If so, would you like to sell them? Check your PMs, please.

I bought the pedal kit from SouthWest AutoWorks...$25 for manual set + deadpedal. Buy from SWAW cuz you won't find a kit w/dead pedal for $25. The quality is great. No, they don't slip...for those who's pedal covers have shifted, u're probably weak, as I have 3 sets of pedals from SWAW and none have shifted in the 1+ year I've had them.

I am a little confused...can you elaborate on the part about how being weak would make the pedals shift? Also, how do the pedals from SWAW attach to the stock assembly?

I think he means "weak sauce".

when attaching the pedals, you need to push into the screw and turn with some might. If you don't have the screws tight, the pedal covers will shift.
The pedal covers go on top of your stock pedals...you don't remove anything (you could if you want, but it's ugly if you do). From there, the 4 screws on the corners hook up with a clamp at the rear.
