Anyone with sprints/kybs...read on

Well my first question is I have 19's with this drop am i gonna run or anything on large bumps and whatnot...?

Second did everyone install them yourselves if not how much you pay all my estimates have been about 300...?

And third does the kyb dust boot come with it or is it something u have to purchase seperate and what is the diff between that and stock bump stoper or whatever its called thanks

Not sure on questions A and C. However, I'm here in Dallas and I paid Alamo Autosports 210 to install the kyb/sprint setup.

1st...... u won't rub, as long as ur overall diamter didnt change...


2nd...... 300 sounds about right.... but you could find cheaper. call around.

3rd...... no they are a seperate part. the kyb has a shortened bumpstop as opposed to the stock one.

  • I'm pretty sure that you won't rub, but I'd recommend that you check with people that have 19s and are lowered. I'm not 100% sure.
  • I did the installation myself, so I'm not sure how much it costs.
  • The KYB dust boots are a separate part. I bought mine for $60 from Cattman, and they were well worth it. They're definately better quality than the OEM boots and they have the shortened bump stop built right in.

The labor should be more than 2hrs. $300 is high. Either they are ripping you off, or they aren't competent to do the install. It shouldn't take more than 2hrs with power tools.
