i was wondering if i could put the 300zx fuel injectors with pump and rails on a 95 maxima? or if i could take the set up off a 2k2 gen max and put that on my 95 max?

It should be possible..as long as the connectors are the same..couldn't you run rich just by turning up the fuel pressure?

my friend said that it can only go so high with the fuel pressure regulator because the injectors can only spit so much.

Unless your boosting or N2O the larger injectors will do you no good and you would also need a ecu programmed for this change. Actually i/e and other breathing mods help to lean you out a little and give more power. If you ask any ecu programmer most will lean out more areas in the rpm range due to the factory rich settings along with adv timing to further the benefits.

 

I am getting a dual intake pipe with 2 filters on it. Since i am getting a little more air (maybe). And I am going to get the Gforce ECU or/both MSD they will advance my timing. so this should work right? for the injectors it said black or blue what does that mean?

 

You still don't have nearly enough power to require new injectors. Factory fuel injectors will support in excess of 300 hp at the wheels at a high enough fuel pressure. You're not even close to that level. GForce won't control the new injectors unless you get it custom programmed, the injectors have nothing to do with advancing the timing. And MSD ignitions don't work with our cars, that has nothing to do with the injectors either. Your car won't even run when you put bigger injectors in, so why waste the money. Get a turbo/sc/nitrous, or a combo of those and then ask this question again.

Not a flame in any way, but your questions and comments show that you have a lack understanding about the basics of the internal combustion motor and how to make it perform. I suggest you do a lot of research before you spend a lot of money on injectors and ECUs.

1) 2 intake filters are no better than one, you're limited by the intake manifold, cams, and heads

2) MSD won't do anything on the VQ in terms of advance

3) Running rich = worse performance

4) Injectors won't do anything

yea man, it might seem like everyone is flaming you but we're telling you your doing it wrong.

2 filters isnt gonna do jack. Even on 300ZX's they dont need the dual pop chargers till like 500horse or so. (dont rmemeber exact number)

Anyways, you'll want to get injectors from a 94 or 95 300ZX i belive. their purple colored. stock Maxima ones are red.

Thanks guys, see my friend has a Taurus SHo. And he was pulling out all these things he brought for his SHO. One of them was the MSD thingy. he said i could put that on my car to adavance my timing, and other stuff.

And the injector was just a suggestion. to see if i would get more hps. I trying doing a search on this but all I found was nothing. That’s why I posted it . Thanks a lot guys.

I am just trying to think of all kind of different way to get me some ponies. I have a race at the track with my friends for some PRIDE on october 12. all my friends drive Hondas and they keep ******* Nissan.i dont have the money or time for a tubro/sc i was thinking about nos but im scared since i have almost 107k miles on my car. should i set it up for dual 25 shot?

 

If I were you I would start with an intake and y-pipe, try to learn a little more about how it all works and then go from there.

 

What's the difference between a "dual 25 shot" and a 50 shot?

As for nitrous options, you can run the Nitrous Express 75hp wet kit with no other mods.

i want to keep a dry system. dont want to dill because might sell the car. i can get the NOs 75 shot seek peek kit for a good deal. i dont know whats the difference between dual stage and signal. i alrady have an intake and a y pipe. trying to look for a 5th gen muffler right now . im going to get a vb mod and the Gforce ecu. u think i can beat 14.9's with these mods. i am to scared to use NOS because i alrady have 106.6k miles on the car. i dont want the engine to let go on me.
