I was reading through directions for the install on the v2.... I understand how to connect the oil feed line for the blower........ but does anyone have pics, or can sum1 explain to me how the oil returns? thanks in advance

i read through it and couldnt find it.........

 

there are two oil lines to the blower

one SS line from the pan routed UP to the front of the SC, pretty simple. just tap in both ends.. one to the pan, the other to the blower.

the nthe blower has an outlet. which is connected to a 3/4" rubber hose that just goes back to the engine.

not too hard. if you look at picts of the blower. you can see where the oil goes.

 

I think the part Cheston leaves out is that you have to replace one of the side covers on the motor with a special one from Stillen that has a J tube on the end of it and the rubber line from the bottom of the blower is clamped to that. If you pop your hood and look at your tensioner assembly, it should be pretty obvious that there is a little removable cover there that will come out with some bolts and some yanking, that gets replaced during the installation.

 

that rubber piece that Cheston is talking about routes back into a oil return plate that comes w/the SCer kit. You have to attach to the side of the engine, first you have to remove the stock cap off the side of the engine, clean that area, put some perma grey on the one the stillen oil return plate comes with the stillen kit, put back the 4 bolts and attach the rubber hose to the return plate. Not simple at all.

Look at the pic below. The oil drain back plate is copper/gold in color and sits to the 7 o'clock position of the SC, the 5:30 position of the motor mount and the 10 o'clock position of the alternator. You'll have fun tightening that last hose clamp.

yeah I read that already... a friend was telling me about "you have to drill into the top of the oil pan assy" for the oil return line..... Step 11 talked about the plate.. Maybe it's just 2 daam early in the morning

 

whoops. yea. there is a lil gold plate that stillen give you for the oil hose line.

The "official" term is 'water pump cover'.
