I am thinking of buying a warpspeed y, but the seller reported a bees in a can sound from it. Can anything be done during the install, or any changes be made through some welding or patch work to eliminate that sound? By the way, all other components will be stock.

better flex section, better y-pipe or header wrap on the flex section.

So can I replace the flex section or header-wrap the section in the used y, or are you recommending just buying one that does not have that problem?

Header wrap works great.

Bees in the can
The pipe your buying must be our earliest version. A unlined flex was used on these first few. We now use only premium lined flex sections. If you have a loud exhaust, you probably won't even hear it. Before install call our 1-866-801-9338 number, Monday/Friday 9-5pm CST. Ask Lynne about having Dallas cut out old flex and install a lined one. I can't remember how much we charge off hand, I do know its not too expensive. BTW weekly we are repairing our competiors y-pipes with unlined and crimped flex sections. Header wrap helps somewhat, but I have heard can increase likely hood of rust.Hope this helps.
