Yesterday I was cleaning the dash and I noticed a black mark on the passenger side air bag cover. I thought it was some sort of a tar stain and I used tuffstuff to clean it. Immediately the black stain grew (I have the tan interiors). I thought the tar was dissolving but then I realized it was actually the paint that was being dissolved. I ended up with a very ugly black stain on my dash.

Is this passenger side airbag cover a black piece that was painted beige? I always noticed it looked different from the rest of the dash. Any recommendations on what should I do to repaint it?
