2.5" exhaust really needed for NA Max's?

My 96 Max already has a Place Racing CAI and soon will have a MEVI and exhaust. The car will stay NA and need to know if 2.25" exhaust is suffecient for the power output or is the 2.5" optimal.

My exhaust plans are:
Warpspeed aluminized mandrel Y-pipe, carsound cat, warpspeed (2.25 or 2.5") aluminized mandrel b-pipe with resonator and Magnaflow muffler part number 14818

[URL=http://www.magnaflow.com/03mirrorstreet.htm]

Has anyone run the 14818 Magnaflow muffler? It has a 4" diameter, 4" long tip that I think would look good on the 4th gen max. Also has a 2.25" inlet.

I'm hoping that this combo won't give me the buzzing sound and will be deep and moderate without being ricey.

Any thoughts on this combo?

Thanks,

Doug D

2.25" is fine... the main reason to do a catback is to get rid of the restrictive crimp bends on the stock system.
