Maxima 12.2" kit using stock calipers

"88-99 Maxima 12.2" kit using stock calipers, $449.95" from http://www.fastbrakes.com/newproducts.htm

What are advantages of this besides being able to put on smaller rims than with BB kits?

Actually this kit has been talked about quite a bit on this forum, and it's also been in the 'new' section on that site for a few months.

E-mail a guy named Brian to ---> bwhasty@fastbrakes.com
for more info about this kit.

I was told 17 Inch rims are recommanded

I was told by my vendors oversea that
-17" inch Rims are recommanded on installing these 12.2 Front Brake Disc Rotors. I don't know how it is going to be clear on the 16" or 15" rims.
-It is supposed to help stopping a bit quicker, due to the BIGGER Rotor??!!
-It's only Slotted/ NOT Cross Drilled.

I am going to put them on using my Cefiro A32 Two Piston Caliper systems (that's currently on my car right now with Stock Size Cross Drilled Rotors). I will probably receive them in about 3 weeks.

There was talk about them fitting under the stock 97+ SE 16's, but now way are they going to fit under the 15's. They can either be slotted or crossed drilled, but not both.

BTW, you have 2 piston calipers? Where'd you get them from? Are they stock? Would they fit a 4th gen? I assume they would, being that it's an A32, same chassis code as the american 4th gen.

Hmmm, I always wanted 2 piston instead of 1, and I've always thought 4 piston was just a bit overkill.

As stated above it should work on the stock 4th Gen 16" SE rims.
The "full" 12.2x1.25" with 4piston calipers almost cleared the 16" SE rims except where the scraped the spoke backside.

If you know a machine shop you can have them both drilled and slotted like I did.
