just had a few thoughts to give:

on my '95 GXE with the s/c package, i was at 120 and climbing until my radar detector decided to have a hissy fit. it is an auto and stock on stock tires at the time.

on my mother's '97 GLE i was at something like 122 and climbing uphill until my prom date suggested i slow down

on my cousin's '97 SE auto, he went 137 stock, so he claims.

and someone mentioned above about going 150+ indicated, doesn't the speedo go up to 140?

I mentioned 150+mph

It sounds crazy I know but my car just ripped by 140 with no hesitation at all and my speedometer barried it self and I got my tachometer all the way up to 6550RPM which supposedly is 157MPH.I was not even trying to test my top speed until I started racing a 1999 volvo S70 GLT I blew his doors of and figured why not keep going faster and I was shocked it just kept on accelerating untill I tacked out.
