Speed 1 on A/C is not working....
The other day I was driving and I noticed that whenever I put the A/C on speed 1, nothing comes out at all. However, speeds 2-4 do work perfectly fine. So, I searched on the .org (Bill and Ben would be so proud of me) and I found in the stickies, a thread about a resistor going bad. Here is the stickie:
Now, that resistor controls speeds 1-3. If that resistor were to fail, would I be correct in saying that all speeds in return would not work, except for 4th? If this assumption is correct, then why does speed 1 not work, but 2 and 3 both work. Anyone know?
There is a resistor assembly mounted on the air duct close to the blower motor. That part has failed. It is used to control fan speeds 1, 2, and 3. Speed 4 is the maximum blower motor speed, so no resistors are involved. Replacing the resistor assembly is something the home mechanic can do. The only tool needed is a Phillips screwdriver. The replacement part costs about US$25.

You got 3 fan speeds, that resistor "block" has more then one resistor in it. Three to be exact. Only one can fail, you still need to buy the whole assy.
