i read on a post that the owner of a 99 max has a courtesy FSTB on his car and the bar hits the hood.. does that mean that i'll be looking at a damaged hood if i install my courtesy that is sitting in the living room?... should i return it? should i contact Courtesy ASAP and address this issue before it's too late?.. i hope nothing goes wrong.
thank you for any input... E.P.

I have it on my '98 and I've no problems. It just presses on the hood liner only. Did the owner mount it properly to begin with?

I have a 99 and the Courtesy FSTB and it definitely touches the inside of the hood, but its doesn't damage or bend it in any way.
