Questions regarding Clutch

I still have my stock clutch on my 95 SE. It seems that some of the gears are hard to get into. Like I have to apply some pressure to get it into gear. Does this simply mean that my clutch is going bad? Or is there some adjusting that might be needed.

Thanks,
Mike

the only time yoru clutch is going bad is when its not catching anymore.. like you are getting lag from acelleration.. you might just need to change yoru tranny fluid

That doesn't sound like your clutch (as Sprint said). Is it difficult shifting only when the engine is running?

yeah redline MT-90 is transmission fluid..

if it was doing it at both times, i could think maybe a bearing.. but since its only when its off.. i can only think tranny fluid.. hopefull someone else will give you some insight..

Worn Syncros is a possibility.

Well, that rules out the syncros and the clutch (unless something is seriously wrong). Maybe it's a bent fork? Metal filings? I'd drain/refill the tranny with some good stuff.

Redline is a company that makes gear oil (among other things). Their GL4 gear oil MT-90 (tranny fluid to you) works wonders in our trannies.
