I have the same car and was in the same situation as you. I had chrome altezzas and decided to go red/clear since that seemed to be the popular thing on the .ORG. I did it and have had it for a couple of months. I don't like it because I don't get anymore compliments on my lights and they're too plain. I want to get the gen-2 carbon fibers now since they've come out! I think you should do the skyline mod or get the gen-2s!

Altezzas(carbon fiber, chrome, black chrome depending on what color Maxima you have)

or get/do Red/clears....

every one hates on Altezzas but they do look good on certain color Maximas and the Gen 2's look good also...

I'm thinking of changing my regular chrome ones for the black chrome....

I wish there were better lenses to use when clearing out the 97-99 tail lights. I was thinking maybe we could get a company to produce a clear/white defuser lense just like the amber ones that we remove. That way, the lense will dispurse the light better and it'd be safer to use during the day.

Go with choice #1, if you put the Alteeza's back on , your car will be nominated for this page ------->http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Garage/3870/

depends on the color of your car, I personally don't go for red/clears either because of the plain look. I have a black car, I like Sexima mod over the Carbon fiber gen II altezzas, but still debating. The sexima gives you that skyline/corvette look that I love, just four embedded red circles.

Please don't do Sexima especially when you have a white car, looks nasty!!! Just go with a subtle red/clear.

I kinda like when you paint them to look like skyline lights. Not many people have done it so its something you dont see often, I think it looks good too.

IV HAD THEM ALL

iv done all but clear them out.but i put my homies red/ clearz on once.heers what i think>>RED CLEARZ look realy clean, like a bmw,but there not as flashy.THE chrome altezas LOOK GOOD ON WHITE, but they look alitle to rice.they look good if you have chrome rims.you can paint them and get the skyline efect and make them look alot better.those make people think, whats that.or you can get the carbonfiber ones, only get thees if your planing on getting carbonfiber stuff, hood, interior, gun metal rims, wing .ect...thats what i did and it seems to mach up quite well. if you go to custommaxima.com you can see pics of all thees choices.JUST GET WHAT EVER YOU LIKE THE BEST>>>ITS YOUR CAR NOT OURS your car is part of your personality...so dont make it look cheezy.make it look good the way you think it shud look> agresave ,conservative ,rice, racer, eligant, clean.

If you're into rice, get the altezzas. If you have any sense of style, just do the stock clears. (No offense to any of the altezza owners here. )
