Mandral bent tubing?

First question: Where can i find mandral (probably spelled that wrong) bent tubing to go from my cat (or at least my straight pipe cat eliminator back to my muffler? Anyone know any place online to order it spec'd for maximas?

Second Question: I have a friend who does alot of his own custom fabrication for his GSX and he says that since i'll be going turbo in a few months, instead of buying y pipes and wasting all that cash i should just go with straight tubing from the headers back and custom fab it myself (or have him do it at least). Well that do you guys think?

I'm custom building my turbo, instead of paying 4+ thousand for a kit, ne1 know what turbo i should go with? i'm looking for around 350-400 hp (325-350 whp) and i want a turbo that will be good for autoXing. I'm thinking maybe a clip/ported t28? but if anyone has any better idea's i'm open to swaying. Thanx guys/girls.

Re: Mandral bent tubing?

if you're turboing....... don't get any straight piping because you'll have to get it re fab'd when you turbo. Mandrel bent is hard to find local because the machinery is expensive for shops..... If you want to stick with 2.5" go with www.warpspeedperformance.com
or www.courtesyparts.com.

In all honesty, why would u turbo if you're auto-xing?

You don't go quick enough to spool the turbo long enough because you'll hit the brakes immediatly..... or do you just like the pshhh sound?

You can add www.budgetexhaust.com to the list for 2.5" a exhaust system. I had the same question regarding turbo for auto-xing too.

Turbo for autoXing

Thats is why i want a low rpm spooling turbo, so it will help with autoXing. Since Maxima's are FF you don't really need too much power right out of the curves unless you want to smoke the track up or totally lose traction. Also the track i'm running on mostly this year has a 1.3 mile straight, PLENTY of time to get up those high mph numbers with a turbo.

All you gotta do is left foot brake and keep that baby spooled up =)

I plan to autoX in my max still if I go turbo.
