frustration has set in...

on the verge of 13's...lost the race for 13's NA in a maxima (not like i was in it to begin with lol). theblue you're right. to some people it's only a good run. i have been visualizing a 13 second run with only bolt ons for a couple of years and spent some good money doing it. but why now? it's already been proven it can be done. i have a 92 S13 coupe sitting (for a couple weeks) in my garage with a few contacts for SR20swaps. might just give up racing the maxima all together and realize it's just a family sedan. i guess my new quest is to hear the turbo chatter and "pssssshhhhh" sound of a bov at over 1 bar. perhaps i can be like the other couple thousands of S13s out there. maybe the bug will bite me again and i'll get a set of slicks. ah, what the heck...

Stop talking to yourself You're pulling some great numbers, especially considering that you don't even have a VI . . . yet?

i thought about the turbo max. the overall potential isn't that great unless you dish out a lot of $$$. i figure if you dump that amount of cash at one time you might as well be fast or be able to set yourself up to be really fast in a couple more steps. such is the case with the S13. it's lighter, well balanced and has a motor that was made for boost. it's also RWD.

good point.

but I like 4 door cars. Not just the max. Also I will be in a simialr situation when I pay my car off next year. So there will be choices.

Hope you get what you want

I think that you are just one good set of slicks away from 13's man.

In any case, your next project sounds sweet. I for one would not mind if you posted your progress on the max boards; the s13 is a great car. When I get out of college and all my dumbass classmates are leasing BMWs and Lexus IS300's i'm gonna buy a $1,000 S13/14 and drop the SR20DET into the sucker, save myself $20,000 and have a car I can be proud of.

yup. i bought my S13 for 1k. lol. i was originally thinking of saving for a downpayment on a 350z but that sucker is more show than go. it's a little overweight. right now, not a whole lot of "new" cars interest me. generally, they're bulky, overweight and focus on compensating on driver error. i want a "pure" barebones sportscar that focuses on driver skill. i'd rather invest in driver improvement than watching too much MTV and getting something just because it looks good, but is slow. it might lack refinement, but that goes out the door when your corvette is looking at the taillights of my S13. of course, the import crowd knows what the S13-15 is all about.
