i was just curious what everyone's favorite color was. i am looking for a new max, and i found the perfect one, but it is gold! i wanted super black. o well... tell me your fav. colors!

I too wanted a black maxima...

I'm in a Gold (sunlit sand) one now, their not that bad!

BLACK, I waited for around a month until I found my black max.

that new blue is awesome...
black is badass...
sterling mist is awesome...
white is classy with a touch of sport...
ruby pearl is uniquely cool...
as long as it's a max, i like it.

only color i don't really care for is that sea foam green type color. ick

my 92 was super white, loved it. but my 98 is super black. it turns more heads. black is better.

if i had to pick it would be Sterling Mist or Black when its clean, but any color looks good as long as the interior is black

i consider rain as my car wash, dirt never show up on the color unless you are looking close at it

thats a great advantage to sterling mist. I think black is the best when clean like someone said, but damn one day sitting outside and my baby becomes a dust magnet

i love sage mist green. really unique color! i like the look of a black car, but i can't stand washing them, so i would never buy one

how bout this???

when i went shopping for my car, i found a 99 black se-l/auto (somewhat equipped) and a 99 stupid orange/metallic/gold/copper colored gle/5-speed (fully loaded) with z-racing rims sitting side by side in the same lot. I wanted to cry. I test drove both at least fifty times. Finally, i went with the SE. Sure, the other one had every option/feature known to man, leather seats and a sunroof. And sure it was a 5 speed, and it shifted perfectly, and was fun as hell to drive. But, just the thought of driving around, with the sun beating down and reflecting off of that god-awful color.....well, i just couldn't stand it. It was there in the lot for a long time after i took my max home...mocking me for choosing the pretty car. Evertime i drove by, i'd stare in it's direction, and it would sneer at me in disgust. Oh well. In the long run, the SE turned out to be just as good. And at least i don't have to worry about spending 12 grand on a new paintjob.


Seriously though, if i had the money, i would repaint my car. Either i'd get a brand new black paintjob, with better quality paint, or i'd have it painted the same shade of blue as the new WRXs. That, and i'd through either a carbon-fiber or clear hood on it. Damn i wish i had more money.

btw- i was looking at edmunds.com and it said that the maximas had custom factory colors??

Was this the factory gold color or a custom color?
And a '99 GLE doesn't have a 5-speed; automatic only.

black definately makes my car look more intimidating specially with the dark tints ... but it's hard to keep it clean ... i like the blue that they offer for the 2002 max's

some nasty custom color, maybe it was a gxe or even an se. I honestly was turned off from that car just by looking at it.

if stock, i would say silver or sterling mist.

if hooked up, then red, white and black are my favorite since i'm in the sporty mood right now

if in the half sporty half luxurious mood, metallic beige would do the trick

Sterling Mist

I would have liked a superblack color. The first time I actually saw my car, I thought it was black. Of course it was at night. The actual color of my car is an EXTREMELY dark Green. It is so dark that if I ask someone what color my car is they say Black! It has the metallic flecks in the paint. I am religeous in waxing and using excellent car wash that deepens the color because if I don't it just gets greener and greener. I would love a new paint job.

well my super black kicks a$$ of course, but the sterling mist looks great also. probably much easier to keep looking nice.
