**MEVI GUYS** Follow-up on other MEVI wiring thread

I did a little test today with my wiring set-up...mine is wired with the MAP/BARO switch being activated from the switched ground off the RPM switch THROUGH the relay.

I set the RPM switchover to 2000 rpms and left my hood up so I could see both the actuator of the manifold AND the light on the RPM switch. I revved from inside the car about 25 times...and every time the light came on and the valves opened. I even revved some in VERY quick succession and some with delays.

I then set the RPM switchover to the normal 5000 that I have it on for everyday use. The same test yielded different results right after I switched it. The first three times I revved to 5000...the light came on, and the valves opened....the 4th time...the valves DIDN'T open and the RPM switch started blinking. I then turned the car off, and turned it back on, and tried the test one more time....this time it worked flawlessly EVERY TIME for 25 revs.....

NOW I'M REALLY CONFUSED.

Could it be that too much power its going into the switch? I'm wondering if you added a resistor to the ciruit would it keep this from happening? I think the switch is getting to hot or something.

I'm very concerned also because I have on on the way.

it IS a harlan BUT my switch is NOT from the batch with problems....refer to the OTHER thread in this forum which explains that it might not be the actual RPM switch...
