Surge in my 1998 SE

Help!

I just purchased a used 98 SE and love it but I have noticed that it when I come to a stop the motor seems to surge a little. Can anyone tell me what's causing this?

Thanks

It is hard to explain because it does not happen all the time. The problem seems to appear when the motor is under a load and the car come to a stop. The motor seems to increase in rpm and then decrease once the car is at a full stop.

Do a search on cleaning out the throttle body. Also how many miles does it have and was a tune up ever done on it?

Most cars RPM dips like 100 less then what its suppose to. The TB cleaning should help it. My car idles at 650 when i put in neutral from any gear(I have a 5spd) The rpm go to like 550 and then come back. Notice the same thing on every maxima.
