Are these tires to be used during cold winter months or in the snow as well as the summer?

Nope.

NismoTam, you need to specify whether or not you will be using these tires in the snow.

Sumitomo HTRZs. They're cheap ($75 for a 225/50R16), stick like glue compared to any other Z-rated tire I've used, they're quiet, wear very well even though they have a very low 160-tread wear rating, and they look aggressive (similar to the old BFG Comp TA Zs).

i had Toyo proxies on for about 2 years and am not very satisfied with them, however i just got a new set of BF Goodrich Scorchers and so far am pretty happy with them, but only have about 250 miles on them right now. they are comprable in price (105/tire at tirerack.com) and are much better on grip and ride smoothness than the toyos were.

hope this helps

I live in FL, it hardly snows here, so these will be for all season use.

seems like everyone here uses tires that end with an 'O' from japan or something. I like my michelon pilots sport H4. All season hi performance. That's a Y rating, but they go up to Z.
