installing gen 1 coilovers

installing gen 1 coilovers

ok i knwo how to do suspension installs but this is my only problem with these coilvoers.....i can not get the middle bolt off of the top of the strut....as i turn the bolt to loosen it the entire shaft spins.....with my other suspension installs i never had tthis problem because it was much easier to get that bolt off.....any suggestions???thanx

what i do to break the bolt loose is not the best but it has worked to me many times. Place the upper part of the coilover in a vice. dont tighten it to much cause it will bend but just enough to loosen the bolt, it should work. What are you doing with you air-ride suspension? was that hard to instal cause i would like to get one. Brian

i dont have a vice.....i am jsut taking the air ride off for the winter just cuz i dont feel like messing wiht a busted line or somethign liek that in below zero weather/snow.......
