97 OEM fogs

guys, i have a 95 gxe and i just bought some 97 OEM fogs. I started putting them in today; 1st, i cut a whole in one side of the bumper, then i put in the bracket, connected the light assembly, and screwed it into the bracket. The next step (according to the manual) was to dissasemble parts of the steering column in order to switch the relay (you know the little thing you move up/down to turn on the signal light?) So i dissconected the one that was already in the car and i was trying to connect the one that came w/ the 97 fogs but the connections are different and i can't get any further until i figure this out!!! PLEASE HELP GUYS!!! any advice is welcome. hopefully i was able to clearly explain what i was trying to explain.

haha DUDE!!! send them back ASAP, they will not fit man, unless you have a 97 front bumper, they will not fit, you just wasted your money. send them back from wherever u got them or find someone who wants to trade but i doubt u'll find that because 95-96 maxima's use same fogs and 97-99 use the same
