Eibach drop pics?

Hey guys,
I've owned other cars that i've dropped, and my original goal was NOT to drop the Max...that's why I just went with the RSB.

BUT....i'm starting to get that urge to lower it with the Pro-Kit...can anyone show me some pice of their Max with the Pro-Kit?

THANKS!

no, actually I don't and i've been over some pretty bad potholes and whatnot. They're good as long as you don't go offroading. I've had these springs for about... 3 years and the STOCK shocks/struts are working fine. I like this kit cuz it doesn't drop u too low and the ride is still comfortable yet stiffer. very reliable springs

Eibachs in my sig pic. Not a good pic to judge the wheel gap, sorry. I have exactly 3 finger gap(I have small hands). fairly stiff ride, but the cornering is worth it.

All these pics look great, but do the Eibachs give a "chopy" ride?

I've had a couple of integras that liked to "bounce" with the Pro-Kit on them...could just be the shorter wheelbase though?

- Dude, you need to seriously consider whether or not you want these springs. I just installed them with my Koni Yellows. Granted, the Koni's are known for being very stiff shocks, but the car rides VERY firmly. I AutoCross the car, so I'm not going to whine - but if you don't race, don't do this. Get some softer springs. Check www.maximadriver.com Cheston has a list of all the springs available, their drop height, and how firm they are. Find something streetable.
- A week after I had the install done, my friends and I took a 1600 mile trip to Richmond, VA and back. Not fun. They complained about the harsh ride the entire trip! Don't do this unless you race or you're crazy.

- But, in terms of looks, I love it. The car looks the way it "should" from the factory... but then slightly lowered, too. I really like it. The car is still "sleeper" enough for me. Make sure to keep your stock tire size or something close or you will scrape on every f-ing speed bump you come to. Not fun to hear your exhaust scraping on some piece of satanic asphalt.

- And yes, the Koni's were on full soft.

H&R's all the way. A nice clean drop and a very nice ride.

I don't autocross and I am not crazy(shut up voices in my head).
Also I live in the chicago area with less than smooth roads. Yes the springs are stiff, but not that bad. I took a trip to Oklahoma (800 miles each way. My folks came with and they had no complaints. My mom slept like a baby the whole way.
The drop is not drastic. I did park next to a stock I30 the other day, I could really tell my car was lowerd.

I agree! I don't race and I don't think it's stiff at all. So what if it's the stiffest among all the other springs? I didn't put 18's, bodykit, all the mods on the car to have a cush ride. And nothing rattles when I go over nasty roads. I rode in my friend's with Sprints 2" drop, it's not as stiff as mine, I don't like that.

And unlike SleeperSE, I have never scraped my muffler, I only scrap my Stillen front lip on driveways, if you don't have the lip, you are fine.

And no, my car doesn't bounce at all. I also use Koni Yellow adjustables, I'm in the middle setting. And here in Oregon, roads are far from being perfect.

The Eibachs are more stiffer than the stock SE springs. If I ever put them back on I'd think they were really soft! I had one full turn on the front shocks and my wife complained about the stiffness. Now I'm always on the softest setting (zero turns).

When I autocrossed and had my Koni Sports on full hard it was great! Had on my Courtesy FSTB and Stillen RSB and it was pretty flat. I need better tires than Falken 512s though.

I would go with H&Rs for that stock ride feeling if that's what your aiming for.

- I have never scraped my muffler - that would be pretty darn hard to do, don't you think? My front mud-flaps scrape harmlessly on everything though. And that little plate that guards the underside of the cat... yeah, that has a few "character" marks from vicious speed-bumps (even when taken at a slow-crawl). It makes an absolutely blood-curdling, that-sounds-expensive noise when it scrapes.
- Tallahassee has the worst roads I have ever seen and most of my beef is on those rough, poorly-paved surfaces. On smooth surfaces, my setup is perfect - sporty without being harsh. Granted, if things are well paved, you could run metal bushings and the ride would still be somewhat smooth. Everything is relative. If I was going to do it all over again and just go for looks over race-worthiness, I would definitely choose H&R. They are a much more liveable design.
- But for me, I'd take a crappy ride for some more g's any day. As a matter of fact, tomorrow is my first track outing with the new suspension. I am very much looking forward to tuning it and whupping up in my class. I'll let you know how things go.

- In terms of bounce, I am talking about the rear. The fronts seem fine under any shock adjustment. The rear is on the middle perch setting and it has a little bounce that makes itself known as soon as you back out of a parking space. What perch are your springs on?

Sorry, yeah I mistyped it and meant exhaust too like the cat or B-pipe. Yeah, most definitely you can't hardly scrap a muffler.

As for the perch, I have no idea now honestly. My friend's shop did my Koni's for free, I just asked for it to be a medium ride. Too stiff and I'll get too much oversteer, too soft, my car will push too much.

Hey, good luck on the track today!
