SE owners- What color are your STOCK gauge needles?

Please list your YEAR, as this is the most important aspect of the question- What years had Red/Orange needles, and what years came with white?

95- white (w/ black sides-appears black in daytime)
96- white (w/ black sides-appears black in daytime)
97- orange
98- orange
99- orange
99.5- red/orange on a titanium face instead of white

Also, please remember that I am asking about the needle colors for SEs.

NOTE: As I get the information I am posting it in the chart above.

I have a 1996 SE and the needles are white. My brother has a 1997 SE and his needles are orange.

On your 96, are the needles difficult to see in the daytime? I would think that the white-on-white might not be the easiest...
Also, mzmtg informed me that the white needles on the older SEs have black paint or smoked tint on th esides to make them more visible. Those of you w/ the older models, do you have any visibility problems?

My 95 has white faces with black needles and lettering. I don't know why anyone with my gauges would want indigo, there so sweet. Best i've seen on any car. I get compliments from ppl all the time who don't know that there stock.

My '98 SE has orange needles.
Oh yeah, white face gauges too. I also get compliments on them and surprised looks when I tell them that it is stock.

Same here. I wouldn't call it orange, more red I think.

Any of you guys:

Can you corroborate the statement that the needles are actually white but have black or smoke tinting on the sides to make the white on white easier to see?

Also, how easy are they to see in the daytime?

I'd have to go out and look, but I think you're about right. The "white" part of the 95/96 needle in the center is what lights up at night I think. I think they're black on the edges.

Main thing is no, they are not difficult to see during the daytime at all. I just wish the RPM and speedo placement were switched around

95- white guage/needle w/ outta edge being black. Not hard at all to see in the day time.

And personally i like the arrangement of the speedo and tach- maybe im just used to it...
