Cat question.

Is it possible to have a rotten egg smell comming from the cat or exhuast after doing about 130????
If not where might that be comming from??

You might have hit something, and it got caught on your superheated exhaust and got stuck onto it. I was doing the same and got a piece of paper stuck, the thing caught smoke and I went nuts thinking it was my engine.

Alas, false alarm.

You may wanna just check with a flashlight.

Thanks guy's i'm gonna check it out, I think it actully went away, It just happend like twice but now it seems to be gone.

I thought the rotten egg smell was an indication that your catalytic converter may have seen better days.

I was told that a mechanic can take a temperature gauge and test the temperature of the catalytic after the car is fully warmed up and tell
you whether or not the catalytic converter is operating correctly, clogged, etc.
