Starting Problem

I started my my car this morning but cut -off right way,tried again but would not stay on.stepped on the gas pedal and started the car,this time it stays on with my foot on the gas pedal.I had about three gallons of gas in the car at that time.Is my fuel pump going bad?1996 maxima gxe auto.

Have you change your spark plug and fuel filter recently?

Becuase I was having the same problem, clean the throttle body, replace the fuel filter and change the spark plugs haven't had a problem since.

Your engine temperature sensor is starting to go bad.
