Question on sunroof tint

Ive noticed that on some new cars (not referring to maximas) that have their sunroof "tinted". I dunno if they are actually tinted but they are surely darker then my sunroof. I went to this tinting place here in Miami, and they said they couldnt do it because the sunroof glass would explode. Has anyone else tried to tint their sunroof or anything similar? Here in Miami the sun is sick

I have had my sunroof tinted for about a year now and I have never had any problems with it at all!! So I don't understand what the guy means at the tinting shop, but my sunroof has been fine!!

I know that under the sunshine, temperature on tinted glass is higher than that without tint. That is probablly what the tint shop meant. I used to tint rear window glases but not the front. Just by hand-touching front and rear glass I know their temperatures were quite different.

I remember from what I've read that some Honduh owners tinted their moonroofs and had problems, but I have NEVER seen pics of the damage.
