Here I sit at work and the wife says the Maxima will no longer start. It is a 97 GLE. Auto.

Car has been running great. 128K miles. She pulled into the garage, tried to leave 15 minutes later. Car will not turn over. NO CLICK. Lights are bright. Everything else seems to work. no indicators that this was going to happen.

Any clues before i get to go home and figure this out?

Starter or solenoid failure.

 

Thanks for your response. Teh failure was intermittant but I tested the voltage drop and it was at the solenoid. Replaced the starter today. Have to wait and see if wife can break it again.

Starter was a lot easier to replace then I feared. So did new plugs, thermostat and flushed teh radiator too. Busy day.
