Pretty easy, but a friend would help

I did mine myself. Just make sure you have plenty of liquid wrnech, and a torch to heat some bolts. other than that it was pretty easy. I say a friend, because having to lay down and hold the pipes up while installing makes for some sore body parts later in the day. Also, make sure to get new bolts and new gaskets ahead of time. i found for the most part it was not worth reusing any of the bolts.

- All you need are the right sockets/ratchets and a penetrating oil called "PB Blaster." You can get it at any auto parts store. The packaging looks pretty cheap and cheesy, but the stuff works wonders. You won't regret it.
- My friends and I just installed my Y-pipe and my HKS muffler. No problems to report. (Mid-Pipe is coming soon, I hope.) Just spray the PB Blaster on the bolts, wait a few minutes, then unbolt the old parts, install the new, tighten, and go test-drive. Piece of cake. Have fun.

Great chance to develop some "know how".
You can do it with the aforementioned PB Blaster, wrenches, sockets,
etc. Air tools make it easier but generally aren't a necessity.
Worst case, you find you can't get the bolts off and take it to a
place to do it for you. If you can get the bolts off you're home
free.

Cheers,
